Journal Colloquium

Weekly journal clubs are organized around at least 3 topics each semester. Attendance in at least one journal club is required each Fall and Spring Semesters. Students must take a minimum of 6 journal clubs as part of the graduate program.

Course Format for PCB 7922 Journal Colloquium

Three Journal Colloquium topics will be offered for Fall 2009 (below).

Students will pick one topic to participate and let the instructor(s) know they would like to attend that particular topic (some topics have a limited number of participants).

Each one of the topics has an initial organizational meeting (below). During this first meeting, students and instructor(s) will establish their regular class time, meeting place, the schedule of student presenters and go over the expectations of the course. If you would like to attend a topic but cannot make the organization meeting, please e-mail the instructor(s) with a list of times for which you have a conflict (courses, department seminars, lab meetings, etc).
