Academics: International Students
Additional Resources for non-U.S. Applicants
The PMCB Program has a diverse group of graduate students. PMCB welcomes all applications from highly qualified international students. PMCB is deeply committed to supporting select international students with a competitive stipend, medical insurance and a full tuition waiver. However, admission to the PMCB Program is highly competitive. Preference is given to international students who either have a Master’s degree and/or have a strong research background in a related area. Being able to conduct research in the USA is highly desirable.
The number of international students admitted every year varies according to their qualifications. PMCB does not have a pre-determined number of students that it accepts per year. PMCB is highly selective, so we may accept few or many students every year. To increase your chances of admission to the PMCB Program, PMCB strongly encourages international students to contact one of our faculty members who best fit their research interests.
UF International Center
International students should read and comply with all the information provided by the UF International Center (UFIC) during all the period they are enrolled at University of Florida. The UFIC’s responsibility during the admission process is to assist all international students with the required immigration documents (I-20 if obtaining an F-1 visa or DS-2019 if applying for a J-1 student visa) to study in the United States. The UFIC is also committed to ensuring the integration of international students and families into the life of the University of Florida and ensuring a smooth transition to American culture and UF student life.
